Spielberg is located in the state of Styria, in south-central Austria. The closest major city is Graz, the second largest city in Austria after Vienna. This means that most international fans will most likely travel through Graz via the airport there.

Graz Airport is located 10 kms (6 mi) from the city centre of Graz and is directly connected to the city via the S-Bahn (street car).

Austria has excellent roads and motorways and self-driving is an easy way to get to the track. From Graz, fans should take the A9 motorway towards Salzburg and then the S36 to Kalgenfurt. Drivers should then take the Zeltweg Ost-Spielberg exit. The racing circuit is just two kms (1.4 mi) from here. The driving time from Graz is about one hour. From Vienna, drivers should take the A2 motorway to Graz and then the same routes as from Graz. The drive from Vienna should take just over two hours.

The closest train station to Spielberg is located in Knittelfeld, roughly 7.5 kms (4.1 mi) away. There are train connections to most major cities in Austria.

No announcements have yet been made about special transport or shuttle services. However, as with other Grand Prix venues, it can be expected that some sort of transportation will be provided for fans by the organisers. In prior races, special buses from Vienna were available direct to the race track.
