Getting to and From the European Grand Prix - Valencia

The European Grand Prix has found a semi-permanent venue at Valencia for a brand new street circuit which runs from 2008 to 2015. Being situated in the heart of this ancient city, the circuit is easy to get to by depending on public transport in the city.

Good rail, road and air links connect Valencia with the rest of Spain and Europe, once in the city there is a good local bus network, but no metro service. On race day, services will obviously be severely disrupted with arrangements planned to suit the event. Be prepared to do a fair bit of walking to reach the grand stands from various transport routes in the vicinity.

Valencia's international Aeropuerto de Manises is well connected to major European cities and just six miles out of the city, with a rail link to the city every 30 minutes or buses departing every 10 minutes.

You can also arrive on the high-speed AVE trains from Barcelona, Madrid or Malaga, though there are few international services due to rail gauge differences, meaning a change of trains at the border.

By car you can motor down the coast from Southern France along the A7, which runs the length of the country, exit onto the N221 or N3 to reach city. The A3 and E901 provide the route from Madrid.
