Scuderia Toro Rosso

History in F1

Team Scuderia Toro Rosso is Austrian energy drink maker, Red Bull's second F1 team and was established in 2006. This is considered to be the junior team to Team Red Bull and its primary aim is to develop drivers and technologies for the senior team. However, in 2010 the team began competing as a real constructor, independent of the senior Red Bull Team. In 2011, the team finished in 8th place, with 41 points, with its two young drivers consistently ranking in the top 10.

Information

Team Scuderia Toro Rosso has posted solid results for a young team, getting as far up as 6th in the Constructors' Championship ranking. The main problem with the team has been its inexperienced drivers and this may yet again be an issue in 2012, when two new-comers have been signed as driver, replacing Sebastian Buemi and Jaime Alguersuari.
